If you're the self-reliant type (or just cheap), you can just buy a package of, say, Avery address labels and print out your own personal or business labels on your laser printer, thank-you-very-much. Either way, you can get really good deals, whether you like flash and color or a more sedate, business-like black and white.

Where can't you use a few address labels?

Most people immediately think of labels printed with one's address and name as being return address labels for mailing things, but they can be more than that. These labels are a quick and easy way to personalize books, CDs, movies, and just about anything else, come to think of it. As long as there's a smooth, dry surface to attach an address label to, you've got an in. Sadly, they don't work well on wayward pets or children, no matter how nifty the design.

OK, so the chief use for name/address labels is for return addresses on mail. They're especially good for business use.
